Three-year defensive standout and MSU's starting libero in 58 of State's last 62 matches • Has tallied 926 digs in 90 career matches played (312 sets) • Begins her senior campaign ranked 14th in career digs and poised to become the 12th MSU player to reach the 1,000-dig milestone • Has also totaled 93 assists and 40 career service aces • Earned SEC Academic Honor Roll plaudits her first three seasons • Summer 2010 graduate currently pursing graduate studies in elementary education.
2009 (JUNIOR):
MSU's starting libero in 30 of 31 matches as a junior • Led Mississippi State and ranked sixth in the Southeastern Conference with a career-best 474 digs • Averaged 4.35 digs per set, fifth-most in the SEC • Reached double figures in digs in 24 matches • Piled up a career-high 34 digs, second-most in the SEC, in State's series sweep-clinching win over Ole Miss (11/15) at the Newell-Grissom Building • President's Scholar with 4.0 grade point average • Established a personal-best with six assists against Southern miss (9/8) • Earned a berth on the 2009 SEC Academic Honor Roll.
2008 (SOPHOMORE):
Took over as the Bulldogs' libero as a sophomore, starting all but three of MSU's 31 matches • Competed in 98 sets • Piled up a career-high and team-leading 275 digs, averaging 2.81 digs per set and 9.2 digs per match • Also tallied 29 assists and 14 service aces • Reached double figures in digs in 14 matches, including a career-best and team match-high 17 digs against LSU (10/17) • Also registered 16-dig performances against Colorado (8/30), Jackson State (9/9) and, in back-to-back matches, Arkansas (11/14) and Ole Miss (11/16) • Paced the team in digs in 14 matches • Matched a career-high with three service aces against Southern Miss (9/5) • One of six Volleyball Bulldogs to earn a berth on the 2008 SEC Academic Honor Roll • Also named the recipient of the MSU's 2008 Newsom Award for volleyball.
2007 (FRESHMAN):
Earned a berth on the team as a walk-on and saw playing time as a defensive specialist in all 29 matches as a freshman • Ranked third on the team with 25 starts • Played in 105 of the team's 110 games • Made her collegiate debut in MSU's season-opening win over Murray State (8/25) • Drew her first career start against Pac-10 power Oregon (8/31) at the Baylor Invitational • Reached double figure digs total three times - 15 vs. Ole Miss (11/11), 12 vs. Stephen F. Austin (9/1/07) and 10 against Tennessee (10/19) • Ranked fifth on the team with 177 digs • Served up 18 aces, including a season-high three at Alabama (10/24) • One of five MSU rookies named to the 2007 SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll • Voted the recipient of the team's Strength & Conditioning Award following spring training.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Versatile four-sport standout during her prep career at Addison High School • Four-year starter and three-time all-state and all-area performer in volleyball, starring as a defensive specialist on teams that compiled a 262-10 record and captured three consecutive Alabama Class 1A state titles (2003-2005) • Coached by Pam Wilkins • Also competed six years basketball, softball and track • Piled up a career-high 797 digs in helping lead the Addison Bulldogs to a 61-5 record and runner-up honors in the Alabama Class 2A state playoffs • Delivered 725 digs as a junior in helping Addison post a perfect 67-0 worksheet in 2005 and its third straight Alabama Class 1A state title • Valedictorian and member of the National Honor Society.

Born Kayla Rhae Woodard on November 3, 1988 in Jasper, Ala. • Daughter of Karen and Bryan Woodard of Addison, Ala. • Currently enrolled in graduate studies after earning her undergraduate degree in elementary education in three years with a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
