CAREER: Turned in a strong fall season and has made great strides since arriving on campus in the fall of 2012 ... Will be counted on to contribute to the pitching staff this spring ... 2013: Appeared in 12 games for the Maroon and White, starting one and tossing a complete game ... Went 3-0 with a save while throwing 21.2 innings and posting a 3.55 earned-run average ... Appeared four times during Southeastern Conference contests and tossed 4.2 frames ... In non-league play, went 3-0 with one save and a 0.82 ERA ... Allowed just two earned runs and fanned 21 in 17.0 non-conference frames ... Dominant at home, going 2-0 with a save and a 0.47 ERA ... Surrendered just one earned run in 15.0 innings in Starkville ... Held right-handed batters to a .200 average (12-for-60) and opponents to a .225 average (nine-for-40) with runners on base ... Picked up the win with three strikeouts in 2.0 hitless innings of relief in the run-rule victory against Tennessee State (Feb. 9) at the Bulldog Kickoff Classic ... Recorded first career save with 3.0 innings of two-hit ball against Murray State (Feb. 17), striking out four ... Picked up second victory with four strikeouts and no walks in the second game of the run-rule doubleheader sweep at College of Charleston (March 14) ... Tossed a complete-game one-hit shutout versus Jackson State (April 2) at home in first career start, tallying a career-high eight strikeouts ... PRE-COLLEGE: Played three years at Stony Point High School under head coach Christen Jones after playing two seasons at Bartlesville High in Oklahoma ... Oklahoma’s high school season is in the fall while Texas’ is in the spring ... As a senior at Stony Point, named to the Texas Girls Coaches Association 5A All-State Team ... A three-time Second Team All-Central Texas selection by the Austin American-Statesman as a sophomore, junior and senior ... Earned First Team All-District 16-5A honors following junior and senior seasons ... An honorable mention Collin Street Bakery/Texas Sports Writers Association 5A All-State Honorable Mention pick as a sophomore ... Voted the Stony Point most valuable player all three years on the roster ... Posted 17 wins and struck out 198 batters during senior season at SPHS ... During junior year, went 14-6 with a 1.66 earned-run average and 150 whiffs ... As a sophomore at SPHS, posted a 0.81 ERA and fanned 276 batters in 173 innings pitched while leading the Tigers into the 5A state playoffs ... In the fall of her sophomore year while at Bartlesville, earned All-Centennial Conference MVP honors and Tulsa World Athlete of the Week recognition ... Finished season with 187 strikeouts in 138 innings to go along with a 1.14 ERA ... During freshman year, struck out a school-record 23 batters in a 10-inning 2-1 victory in the regional championship tilt against Sand Springs ... Named the most valuable player at the regional tournament en route to capturing the conference and regional championship ... An All-State Metro Second Team honoree ...
