The Carmel Cup (8/30-9/1/2019) Started the fall off strong, finishing in a tie for 8th with scores of 69, 71, 69 ... His 7 under par total (209) led the team to a t-6 finish. Fighting Irish Classic (10/7-8/2019) Shot 75, 70 first two rounds...withdrew due to injury...Steelwood Intercollegiate (10/26-27/2019) Finished two over on the tournament, with rounds of 73, 75, 70.
2019 Non-MSU Events: Won a professional event, 2019 Singha Championship in Thailand with an impressive total of 13 under par, highlighted by a 66 in round 3 ... At the Singha all Thailand Memorial he earned low-amateur honors and a top five finish at 9 under par ... Through great play, he obtained a spot on the 2019 International Arnold Palmer Cup team, where he helped his team secure victory over the United States ... Shot an exceptional 65 (-7) in the final round of the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship to catapult into a tie for 3rd place, only one stroke away from first.
2018-19 JUNIOR SEASON
Awards/Recognitions: Named to the fall Haskins Award watch list in November… Listed on the Ben Hogan Award Watch List prior to start of spring season... Was selected to the Arnold Palmer Cup International Team in February as the third-ranked international player… Chosen to GCAA/PING All-Region Team for second time in his career.
Season: Finished with a 71.15 season stroke average, tying his career-best mark… Opened the season with six consecutive top-15 finishes… Finished seventh at the prestigious Carmel Cup on Pebble Beach Golf Links with a 10-under par score… Holed 19 birdies in runner-up finish at Louisville Cardinal Challenge, where he shot 12-under… Sunk three eagles to capture runner-up spot at the Schenkel Invitational… Earned team-leading seventh top-10 finish at NCAA Louisville Regional. Carmel Cup (8/31-9/2/18): Shot a 10-under 206 to take seventh place… Shot a 3-under 69 in round one, a 66 in round two and a 71 in the finale… Totaled 14 birdies and a pair of eagles… Both eagles came in second round… Finished as team’s best performer. Louisville Cardinal Challenge (9/14-16/18): Earned second-career runner-up finish… Shot a 12-under 201… Tallied 19 birdies, tying a field-best total… Led State to a fifth-place finish. Steelwood Collegiate Invitational (10/27-28/18): Shot even to finish tied for seventh… Posted a 1-under 71 in round two and a 72 in the finale… Helped MSU take the team runner-up spot. Florida Gators Invitational (2/16-17/19): Tied for 15th as State’s best finisher… Shot a 1-over 211… Carded an even 70 in the opening round… Posted a 68 in the final round. Desert Mountain Intercollegiate (3/9-10/19): Finished tied for eighth with an even 216 to help Mississippi State earn the team title… Boasted a round-two 68… Birdied 14 hole. Schenkel Invitational (3/15-17/19): Took second runner-up finish of the season with an 8-under 208 total… Opened event with a 6-under 66… Followed with a 72 and a 70 in final two rounds… Tallied three eagles, including two in the final round… Led State to a fourth-place finish… Collected 11 birdies. Mason Rudolph Championship (4/5-7/19): Shot an even 213… Carded a 3-under 68 in the second round. Old Waverly Collegiate Championship (4/15-16/19): Carded a 4-under 68 in the final round to add a huge boost to State’s team score. NCAA Louisville Regional (5/13-15/19): Shot a 3-under 210 to tie for tenth… Opened with an even 71, then improved with a 70 and a 69 in the next two rounds… Carded a total 11 birdies… Started 4-under on his first seven holes of round two… Bested nine ranked opponents.
Non-MSU events: Competed against Asia’s top amateur golfers at Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship in October, where he shot 1-over par… Played amongst the best collegiate golfers in November at the Sun Bowl Marathon All-America Golf Classic... Led Thailand in capturing the Putra Cup title at the Southeast Asian Major Golf Team Championship in December, scoring the most points (215) of any player and shooting 8-under par for the four days... Placed tied for ninth at the Jones Cup Invitational in February, his second-career top-10 finish at the event. Over the summer of 2018, tied for 10th and earned the best amateur finish at the Queen’s Cup, an Asian Tour event in Thailand... Tied for 30th and took a share of the best amateur finish at another Asian Tour event, the Thailand Open, in June.
2017-18 SOPHOMORE SEASON
Awards/Recognitions: Was twice listed in the top three of the Arnold Palmer Cup International Team preliminary rankings.
Season: Started in all 12 of MSU’s events… Opened the season with four consecutive top-5 finishes… Placed as the runner-up in the season-opening Bearcat Invitational with a 202… Totaled 136 birdies over the course of the season… Dropped three eagles at the Schenkel Invitational… Bearcat Invitational (9/25-26/17): Led State’s season-opening third-place finish with an 11-under 202… Finished as the individual runner-up… Tallied a season-high 19 birdies… Carded a 67, 66 and 69 at the par-71 course… Birdied four of his final six holes in round two. Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate (10/9-10/17): Finished eighth… Shot 4-under par with a 206 three-round total… Shot even or better in all three rounds… Began the event with a 3-under 67… Finished with a 70 and a 69… Posted 12 birdies. Autotrader Collegiate Classic (10/16-17/17): Tied for 14th to help MSU take fourth place… Best round was a 1-under 71 in the finale… Picked up 10 birdies between the three rounds. Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational (10/23-24/17): Carded a 12-under 204 to tie for third… Was State’s best individual player… Shot three great rounds, opening with a 5-under 67, before a 68 and 69… Sunk 16 total birdies. SunTrust Gator Invitational (2/17-18/18): Opened the tournament with an even 70… Tallied nine birdies. Louisiana Classics (2/26-27/18): Posted a 2-over 218 to finish as MSU’s best player… Bookended the event with a 3-under 69 and a 72… Tallied nine birdies and an eagle. Tiger Invitational (3/4-6/18): Contributed to MSU’s tied-for-third finish… Shot even 72s in the first two rounds… Grabbed 14 birdies. Schenkel Invitational (3/16-18/18): Part of State’s fourth-place performance… Sunk three eagles, two of them coming in the middle round… Added a key 4-under 68 in his final 18… Finished the tournament with three consecutive birdies. Bighorn Invitational (3/23-14/18): Played key role in MSU’s runner-up finish… Shot a 1-under 215… Carded an even 72 in round two and a 70 in the finale… Posted 16 birdies. SEC Championship (4/25-27/18): Carded 11 birdies. NCAA Bryan Regional (3/14-16/18): Shot an even 72 in the final round… Made 10 birdies.
Non-MSU events: In December 2017, shot 9-under at the Boonchu Ruangkit Championship, an Asian Development Tour (pro) event in Thailand, to a tie for 12th, the best finish by an amateur… In January 2018, competed against some of the best collegiate talent at the Jones Cup, where he placed fifth.
2016-17 FRESHMAN SEASON
Awards/Recognitions: Named to the Freshman All-SEC team… Earned GCAA/PING All-Region honors.
Season: Joined team in spring and made an immediate impact... Competed in all six of MSU’s events in the spring... Was State’s best player in five of the six… Also qualified for NCAA Regional play… Finished the season with the second-best single season stroke average in program history with a 71.15 mark... Earned three top-5 finishes and five top-15s… Carded 84 birdies and three eagles… Sunk at least nine birdies in each event. Mobile Bay Intercollegiate (2/20-21/17): Made collegiate debut in style, tying for third place with a 3-under 213 score… Led State’s tied for third performance… Shot a 4-under 68 in round one, an even 72 in the middle round… Carded 12 birdies. Southwestern Jones Invitational (2/27-28/17): Tied for 15th as MSU’s best performer… Shot a 1-under 71 in each of the first two rounds… Sunk nine birdies and an eagle. Tiger Invitational (3/5-6/17): Bookended event with 1-under 71s… Tallied 12 birdies and an eagle. Lone Star Invitational (3/20-21/17): Tied for the runner-up spot to lead State to a third place team finish… Recorded a 14-under 202 54-hole total… Finished on a streak of 21 consecutive holes without a bogey… Dominated the final round, shooting a 9-under 63 while tying the second best individual 18-hole score in program history… Carded a 1-under 71 in the opening round and a 68 in round two… Tied for the field-best mark with 18 birdies… Also sunk an eagle. Old Waverly Collegiate Championship (4/3-4/17): Tied for fourth with a 5-under 139 two-round total… Recorded a 3-under 69 and a 70… Put in 11 birdies… SEC Championship (4/3-4/17): Earned third consecutive top-10 finish as he placed tied for seventh… Shot a 4-under 206… Managed an even 70 to open the event… Was fantastic in round three, earning a 5-under 65… Tallied 11 birdies. NCAA Baton Rouge Regional (5/15-17): Totaled 11 birdies.
PRIOR TO MSU
Prepped at Bromsgrove International School, where he won four of six tournaments in his final year... Finished second at the 2016 TGA Singha Golf Championship... Took third in 2015 World Star Golf Championships at TPC Las Vegas... Won Zhang Liang Wei Cup International Junior Golf Invitational in China, carding rounds of 62 and 64... In 2014, placed third at the prestigious IMG Junior World Championship... Finished as the low amateur in two professional events, the Thailand PGA Championship and the Bangkok Open Championship... At 13 years old, was driving golf balls 300 yards.
