Bulldogs Fourth After Mason Rudolph Round One

FRANKLIN, Tenn.. – Mississippi State put together a consistent opening round at the Mason Rudolph Championship, sitting in fourth with a score of 1-under 283.

Dain Richie and Jackson Skinner lead the Bulldogs, both sitting in a tie for fifth overall after rounds of 2-under 69.

Skinner started his round with three birdies in his first six holes before falling back to even. The freshman bounced back with back-to-back birdies to close his round at 2-under. Richie carded four birdies in his opening round, but a long-range eagle putt from off the green on No. 18 got him to 2-under for the day.

Ugo Malcor carded six birdies in a 1-over 72 that puts him in 31st overall. Jackson Cook sits in 40th after carding a 73. He finished his round with an eagle on No. 18 to get into red figures on the back nine. Garrett Endicott rounded out the State lineup with a 3-over 74.

Drew Wilson and Bryson Hughes, both playing as individuals, carded rounds of 9-over 80.

State will begin round two off Hole No. 1 at 8:50 a.m. CT. Live results are available on SCOREBOARD.
