Played in 11 games during his redshirt freshman campaign, playing on special teams and as a reserve offensive lineman . . . Played four years of varsity football at Salem High School in Conyers, Ga., starting the final three seasons of his career on the offensive line for head coach Chad Estes . . . Helped lead Salem to a pair of regional championships and nine-win seasons as a freshman and junior . . .
