CAREER: One of the nation’s most versatile specialists who can punt, kickoff and kick field goals … Extremely strong leg and great hang time … Served as the primary punter his last three years and was the primary kickoff specialist as a senior and freshman … At 6-foot-5, tied for the seventh tallest starting punter in the nation as a senior … Mississippi native who was thrust into action as a true freshman midway through the 2014 season and shined ever since … Averages 41.7 yards per punt during his career (150 total punts), which ranked seventh in MSU career history … 35 of his 150 punts went over 50 yards, while 60 were pinned inside the 20 … Played in 45 career games … Career long punt is 68 yards … Averaged 62.6 yards per kickoff … 74 of his 156 kickoffs were touchbacks (47.4 percent).
2017 SENIOR SEASON: The starting punter for the third consecutive year, playing in all 13 games … Also had his best year as a kickoff specialist … Averaged 42.7 yards per punt, the 10th-best single-season mark in MSU history and also ranked eighth in the SEC in punting … Recorded a career-best 13 punts of 50 or more yards … Averaged 63.6 yards per kickoff, which was fifth in the SEC and 17th nationally … 43 of his 73 kickoffs were for touchbacks (58.9 percent) … Set a career-high with all nine of his kickoffs going for touchbacks at Louisiana Tech (9/9) and averaged 47.7 yards per punt in the win … Averaged 45.0 yards on seven kickoffs at Georgia (9/23), including a season-long 67-yarder … Had the best punting game of his career against BYU, averaging 53.0 yards with all three punts going over 50 yards.
2016 JUNIOR SEASON: Was the No. 1 punter on the team for a second consecutive year, playing in 10 games … Totaled 44 punts for 1,760 yards (40.0 average) including nine punts of 50+ yards and 22 punts inside the 20-yard line … In the season-opener vs. South Alabama (9/3), blasted five kickoffs for 325 yards, averaging a career-best 65.0 yards per kickoff while tallying another career-high of five total touchbacks … Against South Carolina, four punts for 198 total yards, including a career-long 68 yard punt, marked a career-best average of 49.5 yards per punt (9/10) … Placed a career-high five punts inside the 20-yard line in Baton Rouge (9/17) … Missed the final three games of the regular season - returned from knee injury to help the Bulldogs to a 17-16 St. Petersburg Bowl victory over Miami (Ohio).
2015 SOPHOMORE SEASON: Served as the No. 1 punter on the squad … Played in all 13 games … Punted 44 times for an average of 42.2 yards with 16 inside the 20-yard line … 12 of his punts were over 50 yards … Punted two times for 93 yards (46.5 average), recording one inside the 20 and one touchback in the season-opening victory at Southern Miss (9/5) … Finished the Troy victory (10/10) with a 48.6 yards per punt on five attempts, including a 65-yard punt … Boomed four punts for an average of 46.5 yards against Louisiana Tech (10/17), including two inside the 20-yard line … Averaged 44.3 yards per punt on six attempts against No. 2 Alabama (11/14), placing two inside the 20-yard line … Punted three times for an average of 49.3 yards in the Egg Bowl against No. 18 Ole Miss (11/28) … Named to the 2015 SEC Academic Honor Roll.
2014 TRUE FRESHMAN SEASON: Played in nine games and saw most of his action on kickoffs and punts … Became the primary kickoff specialist midway through the season … Averaged 61.7 yards per kickoff with 15 touchbacks … Punted 10 times for an average of 41.4 yards … Attempted only one field goal on the year … Following a pre-game injury to Devon Bell, responded by stepping into starting role as punter and kickoff specialist against Texas A&M (10/4) … In that contest, punted four times for 181 yards and a season-best 45.2 yards per punt, including a 51-yarder … Also averaged a season-best 63.6 yards per kickoff with three touchbacks against the Aggies … Averaged 63.4 yards per kickoff with three touchdowns against Auburn a week later (10/11) … Drilled a season-best four touchbacks at Kentucky (10/25).
