2014 SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll
CAREER: Physically gifted, hard-hitting safety who enters his fourth year with the program after redshirting in 2014 … Had a strong spring under new safeties coach Ron English … Been clocked at a team-high 4.24 seconds in the 40-yard dash … Two-year starter with 18 starts and 26 games played in … Forced five turnovers – four interceptions and one fumble -- during his career with one touchdown … Totaled 125 tackles in two seasons … Made the switch from No. 20 to No. 1 in the spring of 2016.
2016 SOPHOMORE SEASON: Started 10 games at safety and played in all 13 games … Did not start against Alabama, Texas A&M and Arkansas … Ranked fourth on the team in tackles with 62 – 35 of the solo variety … Also had one tackle for loss and one interception ... Season-high in tackles was nine, achieving that against UMass (9/24) and Auburn (10/8) in back-to-back weeks … Snagged his first interception of the season against Samford (10/29) and returned it 19 yards in the second quarter … Collected five tackles and a tackle for loss in Egg Bowl win at Ole Miss (11/26).
