2008:
Workhorse of the Bulldog pitching staff, totaling a team-leading 73-1/3 innings pitched in his first season in MSU’s starting rotation ? Compiled a 3-6 record with a 7.61 earned run average in 15 appearances, a staff-leading 13 as a starter ? Also paced the MSU pitching corps with 64 strikeouts ? Made his season debut and first career pitching start in opening weekend series finale at North Florida (Feb. 24) ? Earned wins in starts against Air Force (Mar. 2), Ole Miss (Mar. 16) and at Auburn (May. 3) ? Earned national and SEC Pitcher of the Week honors after tossing his first career complete-game, a nine-inning, two-hit shutout against Ole Miss (Mar. 16) ? Named by Collegiate Baseball newspaper to the 2007 Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American team after compiling a staff-leading 3.00 earned run average with five saves and a 5-2 record in his first collegiate season ? Limited opponents to 13 runs (12 earned) in 27 relief appearances ? Did not allow a run in his first five outings and in nine of his last 10 appearances, including four in NCAA postseason play ? Recorded 37 strikeouts in 36.0 innings of pitching ? Earned wins in relief against Murray State (Feb. 25), South Carolina (Mar. 24), Memphis (Mar. 27), Southern Miss (Apr. 25) and Auburn (May 6) ? Notched the first of his five saves against Jacksonville State (Mar. 7) ?
