Bulldogs Fourth After Mason Rudolph Championship Day One

FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Mississippi State put together some of its best golf of the season in day one of the Mason Rudolph Championship, sitting in fourth overall with a score of 13-under.

State shot a 5-under 279 in the first round, tied for the team's second-best round of the season, and began round two at 8-under before play was suspended because of darkness.

Three Bulldogs shot first rounds of 2-under 69 – Harrison Davis, Garrett Endicott, and Dain Richie. Davis rallied from two opening bogeys to card four birdies the rest of the way.

Endicott began his day on a high note, birdieing three of his first four holes before settling at 2-under. He is now only one round in the 60s away from tying Peng Pichaikool for third-most in program history.

Richie fired his tenth round of par or better in his last 11 rounds, carding six birdies in his first 18 holes.

Those three continued their hot play into round two. Endicott has strung together four birdies and an eagle through 11 holes, currently standing at 4-under for the round and 6-under overall. Richie has played bogey-free golf so far in round two with three birdies. Davis is currently 2-under for his second round and 4-under for the event.

Drew Wilson shot an opening round of 1-over 72 with three birdies. He has carded four birdies in round two and stands at 2-over for the tournament. Josep Serra is 4-over overall, carding four birdies so far.

Alejandro Fierro and Trip Duke round out the State contingent at 4-over and 10-over, respectively.

The Bulldogs resume round two Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. CT and will play continuous golf the rest of the day.
