Bulldogs Finish Sixth At Mason Rudolph Championship
April 05, 2025 | Men's Golf
FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Mississippi State played solid golf over two days to finish sixth place at the Mason Rudolph Championship with a score of 7-under 845. The Bulldogs got as high as third during the final round but ultimately settled in sixth.
Â
"I'm obviously frustrated with how we finished rounds two and three today," head coach Dusty Smith said. "We played some really good golf the majority of the tournament, but we weren't good enough at the end. We all take ownership of it and will continue to learn and grow as we head into our home event.
Â
"Everything we want is in front of us, and each time we tee it up is an opportunity to prepare for postseason. I love this team and know their character. They will only get better from this."
Â
State was led by Garrett Endicott, who placed in a tie for sixth at 9-under. After starting the event with a 2-under 69 on Friday, Endicott scorched the course in round two, carding six birdies and an eagle to fire a 6-under 65. He closed the event with a final-round 70 for his third top-10 showing of the season.
Â
Harrison Davis tied for 26th, carding 13 birdies and two par or better rounds. Dain Richie followed behind in a tie for 29th, firing opening rounds of 2-under 69 and 1-under 70.Â
Â
Josep Serra saved his best golf for last, shooting a 1-under 70 in the final round with five birdies. Drew Wilson compiled 10 birdies for the tournament, including four in his last round.
Â
Alejandro Fierro and Trip Duke competed as individuals. Fierro tied for 43rd while Duke finished strong with a final round of 2-under 69.
Â
The Bulldogs return home for the Old Waverly Collegiate Championship on April 14-15.
