Preview: SEC Tournament

SAVANNAH, Ga. – Mississippi State volleyball is set to compete in the 2025 Allstate SEC Volleyball Tournament, with matches beginning on Friday afternoon.
This weekend marks the return of the tournament, which last took place in 2005. All 16 schools in the conference will play, with the top eight teams getting a first-round bye and the top four getting a second-round bye.
State enters the tournament as the 10th seed and will take on Vanderbilt on Friday evening. All matches will take place in Enmarket Arena and are available to stream on the SEC Network.

The First Serve
- State is 16-9 over the season and went 6-9 in conference play.
- The Bulldogs will rematch with the Commodores after a five-set loss on Sunday.
- Lindsey Mangelson was awarded All-SEC Second & Freshman Team honors for her performance this season.
- Mississippi State currently ranks second in the SEC in lowest blocks allowed for the season. The Bulldogs only allowed a total of 159 blocks in 2025.
- Mangelson earned 1,000 attack attempts on the season. She is currently in the fifth spot for attack attempts and fourth for kills for freshmen in program history.
- The Bulldogs and Commodores will face each other for only the third time in history. The series is tied at 1-1.
- The winner of this match will face Georgia on Saturday, with the winner of that match facing Texas A&M on Sunday in the quarterfinals.
Scouting the Opponent
- Vanderbilt is 7-17 over the season and went 3-12 in conference play.
- The Commodores won their third conference win of the season this past Sunday against the Bulldogs.
- Jackie Moore was named the SEC Scholar Athlete of the Year and will at named to the All-SEC Second Team.
- Moore leads the team in kills at 297 over 95 matches played. She also leads in total blocks and points.
- The Commodores have three athletes with over 200 digs this season, led by HAILEE Mack at 249.
- This will be the second official matchup between the Bulldogs and the Commodores, with the 1978 matchup being against the Vanderbilt club team.
