Bulldogs Set To Compete At South Region Championships
November 13, 2025 | Cross Country
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Mississippi State cross country is set to race at the South Region Championships, hosted by North Alabama, on Friday morning.
The race will begin at 8:30 a.m. CT at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Alabama. Athletes will compete over 6k, with the race available to stream on ESPN+
State will compete against 26 other full teams in the region, six of which are in the conference. The six schools representing the SEC are No. 3 Florida, No. 15 Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.
The Gators and the Crimson Tide are also the only ranked teams competing in the South Region.
There will be eight Bulldogs toeing the line in Huntsville. Nelly Jemeli, Milicent Kemboi, Louise Stonham and Naomi Jepleting will compete at their first South Region Championships for MSU.
Jemeli has the fastest 6k time for the squad this season, and most recently earned All-SEC third team honors at the conference championships.
Ramat Jimoh and Gabrielle Boulay return to the championships, where they earned All-Region honors at last year's race, the first Bulldogs to do so in nearly a decade.
Brooklyn Quanz and Hunter Anderson round out the lineup for State.
The Bulldogs look to earn a qualifying bid at the NCAA Championships by earning an automatic team or individual spot. Qualifiers will be announced by the NCAA on Saturday, including at-large and automatic bids. Â
