Dawgs Fall Late To Texas A&M

The Dawgs and Aggies close out the series on Saturday
STARKVILLE - The Mississippi State Bulldogs dropped the second game of the series to the Texas A&M Aggies by a score of 6-4.
Cade Smith drew the start and went five innings, only allowing three earned runs and five hits. He also had six strikeouts. Brock Tapper came in after him for relief. In nine batters faced, he had three strikeouts and did not allow a hit.
On the batting side, four Bulldogs had at least one RBI. Ross Highfill led the way at the plate, going two-for-four with one RBI and one run. Dakota Jordan also had a multi-hit game, was two-for-four, and drew a walk.
The Bulldogs look to win the rubber match tomorrow against the Aggies. First pitch is set for 2 p.m., and the game is set to be broadcast on SECN+. The Dawgs will honor their senior class before the contest.
Jace Laviolette hit a home run to right, which scored Jack Moss from first.
