
Bulldogs Unable to Match Aggies on Senior Day

State picks up 14 hits on the day, six being extra-base hits
STARKVILLE – Offense was rampant in the final matchup between the Aggies and Bulldogs, but Mississippi State ultimately fell to Texas A&M by a score of 15-10.
Multiple Bulldogs had star days at the plate. After entering as a pinch hitter in the fifth, Wil Hoyle shined. Hoyle finished 3-for-4 at the plate, picking up a career-high in hits in the series finale. Slate Alford drove in four runs on a 3-for-4 day, falling a triple shy of the cycle. Dakota Jordan finished 2-for-5 at the plate, including a two-run homer. Colton Ledbetter capped his day by going 2-for-2 while also reaching on a walk.
Evan Siary entered in relief in the fourth. He threw 1.1 innings, holding the Aggies scoreless and picking up two strikeouts. Parker Stinnett picked up all three outs in his sixth inning by strikeouts. Tyson Hardin threw the final two innings, allowing only one hit and picking up four punchouts while allowing no runs of his own.
Slate Alford hit a solo home run to left center.

With two outs, Hunter Haas hit a two-run homer to left field.

Trevor Werner hit a solo homer to center to lead off the inning. Brett Minnich hit a grand slam to right center with the bases loaded. Max Kaufer came across to score on a fielder's choice. Werner hit a sacrifice fly with runners on the corners, scoring one.

With a runner on, Werner hit his second home run of the game.

With runners on second and third, Alford singled to right field to score two. Wil Hoyle singled to center field with runners on the corners, scoring Alford. Connor Hujsak hit a sacrifice fly that scored Hancock. Bryce Chance picked up an RBI on a single up the middle.

With the bases loaded, Jordan Thompson was hit by a pitch, which scored one. The second run of the inning scored on a groundout and another scored on an error.
