STARKVILLE – The Mississippi State track and field team is back on the track this weekend when they travel to Gainesville, Fla. to compete in the Tom Jones Memorial Invite, hosted by the University of Florida. The event will start on Friday, April 14 and run through Saturday, April 15.

The Tom Jones Memorial is an invitation only event and will be held at the James G. Pressly Stadium, Percy Beard Track on the campus of the University of Florida. The event will feature 39 teams, 12 of which are ranked in the top 25 of the latest USTFCCA rankings, including four of the top 5 teams in the country (No. 1 Texas, No. 3 Florida, No. 4 Texas Tech and No. 5 LSU).

The event will get started with the men's discus at 12 p.m. CST on April 14 with the men's Hammer Throw and will conclude with the men's 5K at 7:40 p.m. CST. Saturday's competition will begin at 8 a.m. CST with the women's discus and conclude at 5 p.m. CST with the men's 4x400 relay.

Admission for free to everyone who wants to attend the meet. Florida will be honoring their 26 seniors throughout the event, with 14 being honored on Friday and 12 on Saturday.

Live Streaming
The Tom Jones Memorial will be streamed on both Friday and Saturday. Friday streaming beings at 5 p.m. ET with the women's 200m and runs until the conclusion of the day. Saturday streaming will begin at 1:30 p.m. ET and continue through the 4x400 relays at the end of the meet.
