Bulldogs hit three homers in the victory over UAB
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Mississippi State Bulldogs picked up their 20th victory of the year after defeating the UAB Blazers by a score of 7-3. The Bulldogs held the Blazers to just one hit in game's final five innings.
Brock Tapper, Tyson Hardin and Aaron Nixon were the three arms who kept the Blazer bats at bay. Throughout the final five innings, the trio struck out five batters and allowed only one hit and no walks. Parker Stinnett earned his second victory of the year after allowing just one hit in two scoreless innings of work.
Dakota Jordan reached base three times in the contest, including two walks and a three-run homer in the first inning. Colton Ledbetter finished 2-for-5 at the plate, picking up two RBIs in the game.
The Bulldogs return to Starkville for Super Bulldog Weekend as they take on Ole Miss. First pitch for Friday's game is scheduled for 6 p.m. and will be broadcast on SECN+.
Dakota Jordan hit a three-run blast to open the scoring for the Bulldogs. Luke Hancock followed him up with a solo shot.
