Dawgs Fall to No. 9 South Carolina

Clark, Jordan, and Hancock each had two hits each
STARKVILLE - The Mississippi State Bulldogs dropped the series' final game to No. 9 South Carolina on Saturday afternoon at Dudy Noble Field by a score of 14-5.
Nate Dohm earned the start today and put in five innings of work. He had nine strikeouts and only two walks. He allowed three earned runs on eight hits against the South Carolina offense that leads the nation in home runs.
At the plate, Dakota Jordan went 2-for-4 on the day with two RBIs, and he also had a two-run shot to take the lead in the sixth inning. The Bulldogs got at least one hit, with Kellum Clark, Luke Hancock, and Jordan having two hits.
The Diamond Dawgs are back in action on Tuesday when they play Grambling in the midweek matchup. First pitch is set for 6 p.m., and the game will be broadcast on the SECN+.
