Coulter Earns SEC Weekly Honor

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Mississippi State's Gabby Coulter has been selected as the SEC Setter of the Week following the Bulldogs' win over Georgia last week in Starkville.

This marks the third weekly honor of Coulter's career and the second time this season she has been named Setter of the Week. She is the only MSU player in program history to earn the honor from the conference office.

"I am super excited for Gabby [Coulter] to grab another weekly award," head coach Julie Darty Dennis said. "Gabby has done a great job transitioning into a much bigger role for us. It is fun to see her hard work and dedication to her team paying off. I am really proud of Gabby for staying focused and continuing to work hard every single day. I am excited to see what we can do this coming week with big matches against Auburn and Arkansas. Hail State!"

Coulter did her part in the SEC opening win against Georgia, recording her team-leading sixth double-double during the match with 44 assists and 14 digs. She also notched a career-high five kills on a .833 hitting percentage with no errors.

She currently sits at third in the SEC standings for assists, with 418 on the season and has garnered 10.20 assists per set. Her 2.83 digs per set are second on the squad.

The Bulldogs will take on Auburn on Wednesday, Sept. 28, at 7 p.m. CT in Auburn, Ala. The match will be aired on SEC Network. MSU then heads home for a weekend series with Arkansas on Oct. 1-2. Saturday's match will begin at 11 a.m., followed by Sunday's match at 1:30 which will be aired on ESPNU.

Admission is free for all home volleyball matches with gates opening one hour prior to first serve.
