STARKVILLE – Mississippi State Baseball will close out its nine-game homestand by hosting in-state foe Jackson State in midweek action beginning at 6 p.m. CT on Tuesday, April 19, at Dudy Noble Field in Starkville.

- Mississippi State enters the week with a 21-16 overall record through 37 games, including a 6-9 record in SEC play following last weekend's series win vs. No. 16 Auburn at home.
- For the second week in a row, the Dawgs have a stretch of four games over the next five days, including Tuesday's midweek home contest against Jackson State prior to the upcoming three-game road series at Ole Miss, which begins Thursday in Oxford.
- Tuesday's contest will mark the 62nd time Mississippi State and Jackson State have met on the diamond in a series that dates back to 1976.

- Over the last five games, Mississippi State outfielder Brad Cumbest is hitting a team-best .421 for the Diamond Dawgs. Cumbest is 8-for-19 at the plate with two home runs, a double and four RBIs over the last five games.
- Entering Tuesday's midweek contest vs. Jackson State, Mississippi State is 16-8 this season in games played at Dudy Noble Field.
