STARKVILLE – The Mississippi State volleyball team continued their home winning streak with a nice-and-tidy 3-0 sweep of No. 23 Arkansas [25-19, 25-21, 25-17] in front of a raucous crowd on Saturday morning at the Newell-Grissom Building.Â
Â
"Arkansas is a super talented team and a well-coached team," head coach Julie Darty Dennis said. "I am just proud of our girls. All week we've been talking about game plan, executing at a high level and sustaining our level of play. We have pride in who we are. If we can win the serve and pass game and out-ball control people, then good stuff's going to happen."
Â
State (9-4) has improved to 2-1 in SEC action for the fourth time in program history joining the 2004, 2006 and 2021 squads. The Bulldogs also captured its first sweep over the Razorbacks dating back to 2006.Â

Â
"This was what it means for us to be at home and play on our home court," Dennis said. "It's incredible. Even before a football game, we had fans here who were propelling us through the sets. It just means a lot that we got this support from our family. Being at home was such a gift. It was great to be at home."
