SEC Announces Mississippi State Volleyball’s Spring Slate

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State volleyball's 2020-21 season is officially set to continue this spring as the SEC announced a 16-match, eight-series schedule for its programs on Monday (Dec. 21).
MSU's spring slate is bookended by home series, opening Friday and Saturday, January 29-30 against Georgia in the Newell-Grissom Building.
Following its first road series at South Carolina, February 4-5, the Bulldogs will be back in The Griss to host Ole Miss (Feb. 11-12) and Florida (Feb. 19-20) on back-to-back weekends.
A Saturday-Sunday matchup at Alabama, February 26-27, opens a three-series road slate spanning four weekends. State will head to Thompson-Boling Arena to take on Tennessee March 4-5, then use an open week before its series at Auburn, March 19-20.
MSU's 2020-21 regular season will conclude March 24-25 when it welcomes Missouri for a Friday-Saturday matchup at The Griss.
All start times, and broadcast and fan information will be announced at a later date.
MSU played to a 2-6 record during the fall season, highlighted by a series sweep at No. 7 Texas A&M November 4-5. Freshman Lilly Gunter and junior Gabby Waden finished in the league's top 10 in respective categories - Gunter's 3.36 digs per set ranked No. 7 and second among freshmen, and Waden's 3.67 kills per set ranked No. 10 and second among right side hitters.
