State Completes Day 1 At Crimson Tide Four-In-The-Fall

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The sun has set on day one at the Crimson Tide-Four-In-The-Fall tournament with the results recorded and in the books.
Mississippi State true freshman Isaac Becroft collected his first win ever as a Bulldog to begin the day, teaming up with sophomore Gregor Ramskogler for a tough 8-7(4) triumph over Georgia's tandem of Erik Grevelius and Mateo Reyes in the Crimson draw. The State duo then completed a quick turnaround but fell to Alexey Nesterov and Riccardo Roberto of host Alabama 8-5. The Bulldog pair will play again Sunday at 9 a.m. CT in the third place match against Loic Cloes and Clement Marzol of South Alabama.
In in the Crimson singles draw, Ramskogler faced USA's Cloes to open play Friday, but dropped a tight 6-3, 6-4 affair to the Jaguar veteran. The Bulldog will next take the court Saturday morning in consolation play against Oklahoma's Max Stewart not before 10 a.m.
In the Houndstooth Draw, the rookie Becroft fell to Georgia's Britton Johnston 6-4, 6-3. He will look to the court in Saturday morning consolation play as well, meeting Tennessee's Mason Meier not before 10 a.m.
