Mississippi State opens NCAA Regional play versus Southern at Noon CT on the SEC Network
STARKVILLE – The Carnegie Hall of College Baseball prepares for its 14th NCAA Regional, as the No. 5 Mississippi State baseball program will kick off the NCAA Starkville Regional against Southern University at Noon on Friday (May 31) at Dudy Noble Field.

Mississippi State (46-13) are the No. 6 overall national seed and will face Southwestern Athletic Conference champion Southern (32-22) on the SEC Network in the opening game of regional play. The second game will feature ACC at-large team No. 19 Miami (Fla.) (39-18) and Mid-American Conference champion Central Michigan (46-12) at 7 p.m. on ESPN3.

The Diamond Dawgs are making their 38th NCAA postseason appearance and hosting an NCAA Regional for the 14th time in program history. Since the NCAA adopted the regional format In 1975, Mississippi State owns an 81-43 record, winning 14 of its 32 NCAA Regionals.

The No. 6 national seed marks just the second time in program history that Mississippi State enters the postseason as a national seed. The 2016 team also earned the No. 6 overall seed, advancing to the Super Regional round before bowing out to eventual national runner-up Arizona.

All-Session ticket booklets for standing room only/general admission areas will be $60. All-Session Rooftop passes will be $150 and have a four (4) ticket limit.

Single-game tickets will go on sale Friday (May 31) morning at 8:30 a.m. and be available at HailState.com/Tickets. Walk-up sales at the Dudy Noble Field Right field box office will begin at 9 a.m.

Mississippi State Students
Student single-game, general admission tickets will be available at the MSU Athletic Ticket Office for $10 with valid student ID beginning Friday (May 31) at 8 a.m. Students may also purchase tickets online or in person at the Bryan Building ticket office or Dudy Noble Field box offices.

Will Call
All general public will call will be handled at the Right field box office. Team will call and Team player pass list admissions will be handled under a tent located at the Right Field Plaza entrance.

Parking Information
Baseball season ticket holders who have a season parking pass will use the same parking pass issued for the 2019 regular season. All Bulldog Club Reserved Baseball parking passes will be honored. No additional parking passes will be on sale as all remaining lots around Dudy Noble Field are free of charge.

RV season parking holders will also use their same pass for the weekend. Season RV passes will use Lot 38. RVs with reserved passes can begin parking at 8 a.m. Friday, May 31st.

Dudy Noble Field Policies
Gates open two hours before first pitch on game day and the stadium gates will close one hour after the conclusion of each game. The right field terrace is a public, grill-free, first come first served area. Should fans wish to purchase ice at Dudy Noble, they will be able to do so behind the center field wall in the Left Field Lounge.

Approved coolers cannot exceed the maximum size of 10" by 10" by 10" after gates open, with coolers exceeding the restriction size prohibited. Other prohibited items include alcoholic beverages, smoking (in all areas), weapons, fireworks, electric power generators, pets, non-approved banners and signs, bicycles, any illegal substances, carts, wagons, wheeled supply carriers, personal tailgate tents (on concourse or lawn areas) and lawn chairs on sidewalks or concourse areas.

All bags are subject to search and security screening, along with items prohibited from being stored along stadium fencing and gates. MSU encourages fans to leave all unnecessary and prohibited items at home or in their vehicles to expedite security and screening procedures.

Southern
- Mississippi State and Southern will meet for just the second time in program history to open the 2019 NCAA Starkville Regional.
- The first meeting between the two programs came in 2018, when Mississippi State won, 5-0, on April 4, 2018 at Dudy Noble Field.
- In 2019, Mississippi State posted a 5-0 record against the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), with wins over Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Grambling, Jackson State, Mississippi Valley State and Texas Southern.
- All-time against the SWAC, the Diamond Dawgs own an all-time mark of 105-9 versus the current alignment of the conference.
- MSU's most common SWAC opponents are Alcorn State (16 meetings), Jackson State (60 meetings) and Mississippi Valley State (27 meetings).
