South Carolina Storms Postpone SEC Opener For MSU’s Women’s Tennis Squad

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Mississippi State's women's tennis team (9-3) traveled to Columbia, South Carolina, to face the 10th-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks (5-2) in the SEC opener for both teams on Friday.
Showers and storms put a damper on the day for the teams, however, as the match was suspended due to lightning just moments after its start, which itself was delayed over three hours due to wet conditions at the Carolina Tennis Center Friday afternoon.
The match is now slated to take place at approximately 9 a.m. CT on Saturday, March 2.
After taking on the Gamecocks, MSU stays on the road Sunday, meeting Florida in Gainesville.
