MSU Travels To Knoxville for First SEC Away Game

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Following a tough, five-set loss to South Carolina on Friday to open SEC play, Mississippi State (9-7, 0-1 SEC) looks to rebound when it travels to Tennessee (7-3, 0-1 SEC) on Sunday.
First serve is set for 12:30 p.m. CT. Fans can access the match via WatchESPN or the Watch ESPN app for a live feed without commentators.
"Tennessee has a veteran coach in Rob Patrick," third-year coach David McFatrich said. "We swept them at their place, then they came here and we swept them at our place. I think they are going to use that as a reminder to not take us lightly.
"The Thompson-Boling Arena is a big basketball arena. Spaciously, our players are going to have to get in there and have a good practice on Saturday and Sunday morning so we can get used to the differences in the sheer enormity of that building. Our players are practicing hard and we are undaunted and ready to go."
This is the 57th meeting for the two teams. MSU has won the past two matches, but Tennessee holds a 43-13 advantage in the series. In Knoxville, the Volunteers lead 22-4.
