- For the second time this month and the third time since his call-up, Brent Rooker earned Player of the Week honors for the Florida State League. In his last 10 games, Rooker is 14 for 40 (.350) with five home runs and 12 RBIs. From August 24 to August 28, Rooker homered in three straight games.
- On Monday, The Pacific Coast League announced that Hunter Renfroe and Ben Bracewell swept Player of the Week honors. Renfroe batted .524 with a home run, five RBIs and seven extra-base hits, while Ben Bracewell won two games, allowing no runs and striking out ten batters.
- On Friday, Mitch Moreland made an appearance on the mound for just the second time in his career, and the first since 2014. Moreland pitched a scoreless inning and struck out a batter on a high fastball.
- Chris Stratton tied a career-high 10 strikeouts on Sunday while allowing just two runs. Stratton is set to make his next start on Saturday.
- Zac Houston has allowed just one run and through seven appearances with Class A Advanced Lakeland Tigers, and has struck out 18 batters over 10 innings pitched.
- Daniel Brown (Class A Wisconsin) and Reid Humphreys (Class A Asheville) have both thrown five straight appearances of shutout relief.
- After a short stint back in Triple-A, Brandon Woodruff was recalled by the Brewers and will make his fourth start on Saturday. Read how Woodruff has overcome adversity to make an impact for his club here.
