No. 20 MSU Women’s Tennis Concludes Regular Season At Ole Miss Saturday

STARKVILLE, Miss. – To close out its 2017 regular season slate, the 20th-ranked Mississippi State women's tennis team (13-7, 6-6 SEC) travels to Oxford to face 27th-ranked rival Ole Miss (13-11, 3-8 SEC) at UM's Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center Saturday. Match time is set for 1 p.m. CT.
The Bulldogs are looking to win back-to-back contests against the Rebels after snapping 27-match losing skid in the series with a 5-2 victory last season in Starkville.
In this week's ITA national rankings, the Bulldog pair of Jasmine Lee and Lisa Marie Rioux posted their highest ranking of the season, coming in at No. 3 in the country. The duo has posted a 14-4 dual match record at the No. 1 position and is 22-5 overall. Jennifer Brown and Khrystyna Vozniak, along with Madison Harrison and Sara Lizariturry round out the State doubles lineup this week.
On the singles side, State's All-American Lee continues to climb up in the rankings, coming in at No. 16 this week. She leads the team at the No. 1 position with a 16-3 record and is an impressive 9-2 in conference play. The rookie Rioux, junior Madison Harrison, sophomore Anastasia Rentouli, junior Khrystyna Vozniak and true freshman Sara Lizariturry round out State's lineup heading to Oxford.
Ole Miss will enter Saturday's affair after falling in its last three outings. Last time out, the Rebels dropped a 4-0 decision to No. 11 Auburn in Oxford Wednesday. In singles, UM is paced by No. 38 Arianne Hartono and No. 77 Natalie Suk. In doubles, Hartono pairs up with Anna Vrbenska to form the nation's 21st-ranked tandem. Hartono is also part of the country's 53rd-ranked doubles duo with Alexa Bortles.

State starts postseason action at the SEC Championship in Nashville, Tenn., April 19-23. The draw for the tournament will be released following all SEC regular season play on Sunday.
