Bulldogs Set for Autotrader Collegiate Classic in Georgia

DULUTH, Ga. – Mississippi State men's golf begins its second tournament in as many weeks on Monday as it travels to Berkeley Hills Country Club in Duluth, Ga., for the Autotrader Collegiate Classic.
"I am excited for this upcoming opportunity because it's the next step in our process," head coach Dusty Smith said. "Any time you have the M-State logo on your chest and you carry the State bag, it matters. I'm looking forward to watching our guys compete tomorrow."
Peng Pichaikool, Taylor Grant, Garrett Johnson and Cameron Clarke will all make their third tournament of the season, while junior Austin Rose fills out the lineup card.
The Bulldogs play 36 holes starting at 7:30 a.m. CT Monday. State wraps the tournament on Tuesday with 18 holes.
MSU is one of 16 teams competing at the event as the field includes Augusta, Boston College, Bowling Green, Chattanooga, Davidson, Francis Marion, Georgia Southern, Kansas, Lipscomb, Notre Dame, Richmond, UNC Greensboro, Winthrop, Yale and host Georgia State.
Berkeley Hills Country Club plays to a par-72 at 6,694 yards. Live scoring is available through Results.Golfstat.com.
The Autotrader Collegiate Classic was added to MSU's schedule after its season opener at the Invitational at the Ocean Course in South Carolina was canceled due to Hurricane Irma. It is the second of three tournaments in a three-week span for the Bulldogs.
