May 25, 2016 | Track & Field
The junior Browne placed third in the 100 meters with a time of 10.39. Crabbe took seventh in the 100m (10.49), earning his first-ever all-American award at Bernie Moore Track Stadium in Baton Rouge, La.
In the 200m, Browne finished third again with a time of 20.83, earning his second all-American honor on the weekend and fourth honor this year, the most all-American honors ever in one year for a Bulldog. Browne was a double all-American indoors in the 60 and 200 meters.
"All the hard work this year paid off," said Browne. "I was really focused and determined to finish third (in both events) and just gave it my all in both."
Crabbe took fifth in the 200 meters, running a 20.90. He and Browne finish as the second and third double all-Americans in individual events in school history. The duo also finishes as the school's second and third all-Americans in the 100m.
"I just gave it all I had tonight," said the senior Crabbe. "Running in this humidity was extremely tough, but I'm glad I made all-American."
The sophomore Davis finished seventh in the 200-meter dash with his time of 21.07. Davis and Browne become the first Bulldogs since Festus Igbinoghene to earn all-American honors both indoors and outdoors in the same year. They become the first Bulldogs since Aki Bradley in 1994 to be all-Americans outdoors.
The Bulldogs finish tied for 15th place with 20 points scored, the second-highest team score in school history and the third-best team finish in the NCAA Outdoor Championships ever for MSU.
