Wood Jumps 14 Spots On Day Two At SEC Championship

ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – After shooting a first round 304, The Mississippi State men's golf team, lead by Ben Wood shaved six shots to shoot a 298 on the second day of the SEC Championship.
Playing in his last SEC Championship, Wood birdied three holes on his way to shot a 2-over par 72 propelling the senior 14 spots up the leaderboard into a tie for 33rd.
Sophomore Taylor Bibbs shot a second round 75 placing him in a tie for 41st heading into Sunday's final round.
Improving four shots on his first round total, Ross Bell carded a 75 to give him sole possession of 65th place.
Jacob Ross sits in a tie for 66th place after turning in a second round scorecard of 78.
Rounding out the MSU scorecard, Taylor Grant is in 70th position despite improving five shots on his first round total to shot a 76.
Kentucky holds the 36-hole team lead while Georgia's Lee McCoy has the Individual lead.
For the second straight round, MSU will tee-off alongside Ole Miss at 7:10 a.m. CST on Sunday.
