ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – On the final day of the SEC Championships Sunday, the Mississippi State men's golf team improved five shots from its second-round total.
Georgia won, while MSU placed 14th with a three-day total of 895 at the Sea Island Golf Club.

In his first SEC Championship, Taylor Bibbs shot a final round 78 to finish in a tie for 57th.
Senior Ben Wood shot an 80 in his final SEC Championship round tying him for 58th.
The best Bulldog round of the tournament goes to sophomore Taylor Grant for firing a 70 on Sunday to finish in a tie for 58th.
Freshman Ross Bell had his best round of the weekend, posting a 73 to tie for 58th.
Joining three other Bulldogs in a tie for 58th, Jacob Ross shot a final round 72.
“Four of these guys are sophomores and freshmen, and what they learned this week will serve them well in the future,” Homan said. “We just have to keep getting better and close the gap.”
