Dick’s Top 10 Finish Paces MSU At Jerry Pate

VESTAVIA HILLS, Ala. – On the final day of the Jerry Pate Intercollegiate, Jackson Dick fired a 68 to pace the Mississippi State men's golf team to a team total of 293 and an 11th-place finish.
Dick birdied five holes in his two-under par round to finish tied for 9th, his second Top 20 performance this season.
"I am really happy with the tournament that Jackson had this week," MSU coach Clay Homan said. "He put together his best three rounds of his career and seems to have turned a corner with his game."
Taylor Bibbs carded a 74 en route to claiming a tie for 28th, while Garrett Johnson fired a 76 to finish in a tie for 43rd.
Austin Rose tied for 46th after shooting a final round 75. Rounding out the MSU scorecard was Grant Motter, who totaled 76 to tie for 55th.
"Hopefully these other guys learned a little something this week about what it takes to play harder golf courses against very good competition," Homan said
Auburn won the team tournament while UNLV's John Oda won the individual title.
The Maroon and White head to West Virginia on Oct. 10 to play in the Mountaineer Intercollegiate.
