MSU's Patrasc Concludes Play At ITA All-American Championships

Patrasc, ranked No. 42 in the ITA singles rankings, fell to 54th-ranked Rachel Pierson of Texas A&M, 6-3, 6-2 in the finals of the qualifying draw.
"It was tough loss for her today," said assistant coach Sachin Kirtane, on Patrasc. "Her opponent played well today, but (Georgiana) competed well in this tournament and was able to come away with two very good wins."
Patrasc will be back in action next weekend, as she competes in the ITA Southern Region Indoor Championships in Tuscaloosa, Ala., which will be held Oct. 10-13. Meanwhile, the rest of the Bulldogs will see competition this weekend in the Arizona Invitational, which begins Friday in Tucson.
