Wiggs registered five of UF's first 10 points in the opening set, tallied nine kills in 10 attack attempts over the first two frames and finished with a match-high 13 kills on a school-record .929 hitting night.
Sophomore middle blocker Lainey Wyman and freshman middle Sarah Nielsen shared scoring honors for the Bulldogs with four kills each. Freshman Taylor Scott added three to MSU's season-low 14-kill total.
Florida hit .455 for the match and was dominant at the net, amassing a 10-3 advantage in total team blocking with four players combining for six solo blocks. State's Wyman shared team blocking honors with two block assists apiece.
Freshman libero Roxanne McVey, the SEC digs leader, finished the night with six digs.
State travels on to Baton Rouge, La., to complete its weekend volleyball competition and its October schedule with a 1 p.m. Sunday match against LSU. The MSU-LSU match will be televised on regional cable systems by Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS) and New Orleans-based Cox Sports Television (CST) and available online on ESPN3.
