MSU Netmen Conclude Play At Seminole Invitational

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ? The Mississippi State men's tennis team concluded its fall season at the Seminole Invitational with four victories in singles action on Sunday.

Senior Ryan Farlow, who won his opening match in the B Draw on Saturday, won his quarterfinal match against Creighton Blanchard of Alabama, edging Southeastern Conference foe in three sets, 7-5, 4-6, 7-6, followed by a slip up in his semifinal match to Alex Emery of UAB, 6-1, 6-1.

In A Draw consolation play, junior Chris Doerr took his opening match over Sander Gille of East Tennessee State 6-1, 7-5 before dropping a match to Simon Childs of Louisville, 6-3, 6-4. Also seeing action in A Draw consolation play, sophomore Antonio Lastre picked up two victories over Brian Ly of UAB, 6-2, 6-4, and Andrew Felsenthal of Alabama in a three-set match, 6-4, 2-6, 6-3.

MSU will prepare for spring action opening on Jan. 16 in Lexington, Ky., at the SEC Indoor Championships.
