STARKVILLE —Mississippi State men's tennis head coach Matt Roberts announced the signing of Pepijn Bastiaansen to the Bulldogs' 2026-27 roster, Monday.
A native of Tilburg, Netherlands, Bastiaansen arrives in Starkville as one of the top international prospects in the class and brings extensive professional and junior experience to the program.
At just 20 years old, Bastiaansen has already achieved a career-high ATP singles ranking of No. 952 while competing on the ITF professional circuit. He also reached a career-high ITF Junior ranking of No. 576, showcasing his success at both the junior and professional levels.
Bastiaansen earned notable results on the ITF professional tour, including capturing a 15K doubles title in Grodzisk Mazowiecki, Poland, while also advancing to the singles final at a 15K event in Pretoria, South Africa. His experience competing internationally against professional-level opponents adds another accomplished piece to Mississippi State's lineup.
On the junior circuit, Bastiaansen claimed the doubles title at the J4 Heiveld tournament alongside Mees Rottgering and consistently competed against many of the world's top junior players.
Bastiaansen joins a Mississippi State program that continues to establish itself among the nation's elite, with the Bulldogs building on multiple NCAA Tournament runs and continued success in the SEC and on the national stage.
