One of three walk-on candidates on the 2007 team and among three rookie players at State from neighboring Alabama.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Three-year volleyball standout and three-sport athlete at Brooks High School...Coached by Tonya Thorp...Earned all-area and all-county honors as a senior, averaging a team-leading 10 kills and eight total blocks per game...Served as team captain her junior and senior seasons...Selected BHS volleyball’s best offensive player in both 2005 and 2006...Also starred four seasons in basketball...Set school record for most blocked shots in a game and season and chosen BHS’s best rebounder as a senior...Two-year track standout and tabbed for team MVP honors as a senior...Won state championship in high jump and triple jump...Honored in 2006-07 for having the higest grade point average in basketball, track and volleyball...Played club volleyball with the Northwest Alabama Volleyball Club (NWAVC) coached by Brian Smith and in 2007 with the Mountain Valley Volleyball Club coached by Dusty Cothran...National Honor Society member and “A” Honor Roll student at BHS...Served as junior class secretary and senior class vice-president.
