Head coach Juile Darty Dennis announced the addition of Ignacio Valdemoros to the Mississippi State staff on February 17, 2025.Â
Valdermoros makes the move to Starkville after spending the past three seasons at Eastern Illinois, most recently as an assistant coach and performance analyst. He was named to the 2024 class of AVCA Thirty Under 30, which include coaches of both men's and women's volleyball who are rising leaders in the sport. During his time at Eastern Illinois, Valdemoros coached seven All-Conference selections, including two-time OVC Player of the Year Giovana Larregui López and 2023 Setter of the Year Catalina Rochaix.
In his first season in Charleston, he helped the Panthers gain their first .500 or better season in five years, going 16-16. The very next season, he helped guide Eastern Illinois to the 2023 NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2001 after finishing as the Ohio Valley Conference Champions with a 28-5 record.
Valdemoros also served as an assistant coach for EIU beach volleyball and help guide the program to its first ever wins during the 2023 season.
Prior to his time in Charleston, Valdemoros served as an assistant coach and performance analyst for professional teams Gimnasia & Esgrima La Plata and Banco Provincia La Plata in his home country of Argentina.
