College tennis standout and Academic All-American Erin Bryce begins her first season as volunteer assistant coach for Mississippi State women's tennis in 2013-14. She is the wife of MSU assistant women’s tennis coach James Bryce.
From 2009-13, Bryce served as a volunteer assistant coach for Saint Leo University, helping the Lions progress from unranked to top 10 in the country within the time frame of four seasons. During that same span, she also taught tennis at the Maidstone Club in East Hampton, N.Y, during the summer.
In 2008, she was hired as assistant cross country and tennis coach at the University of West Alabama and completed her stint there in 2009.
A 2007 graduate of the University of Tampa, she earned a bachelor’s degree in Government and World Affairs. She also earned her masters degree (M.A.T. in Social Science 6-12) while working at West Alabama.While at the University of Tampa, Bryce played tennis at No. 1 in singles and doubles while the program was ranked in the top 25 nationally. She also ran cross country at the Tampa while the team was ranked nationally in the top 10. She was an Academic All-American in 2005 and 2006.
Bryce and husband, James, were ranked No. 1 nationally in USTA Husband-Wife Doubles in 2011 and 2012 and were USTA Husband-Wife Clay Court National Champions each of those years as well.
