Daughter of Deborah and Marcus Powe … Has two brothers, twin Demarcus and younger brother Demonte … Her twin brother Demarcus plays basketball at Belhaven University and played at East Central Community College and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College … Born on March 8, 2004 … Prefers the nickname “Breasha” … Majoring in Communication-Broadcast and Digital Journalism … After basketball, Powe intends to pursue a career as a sports analyst and is inspired by ESPN’s Andraya Carter, who traveled to Starkville to provide media training to the team in the 2023-24 offseason … Powe currently interns as a sideline reporter at French Camp Academy football games and with the Mississippi State Athletics Broadcast staff … Powe writes a new bible verse on her wrist prior to every game … Enjoys playing the piano and has displayed her talents on various road trips … Volunteers at the Kids Across America (KAA) camp every summer … When Powe was in seventh grade, she attended a basketball camp at Mississippi State and was paired up in group led by now Mississippi State Assistant Coach/Director of Scouting and WNBA Seattle Storm’s Victoria Vivians and WNBA Dallas Wings’ Teaira McCowan … Powe still has the picture of her with Vivians and McCowan from the camp back home.
