Before the Bulldogs

Threw for Liberty High School where her team won four conference championships … Team also won the Bakersfield Invitational in four consecutive years and was runner-up in the CIF district … Won CIF district championships in shot put and discus … Four-time conference champion in shot put and won three such titles in discus … Finished as high as fifth in shot put and seventh in discus at the state championships … Won the Santa Barbara Invitational four times and took the shot put crown at the Battle of the Valley … Broke the school record and freshman record in both shot put and discus … Named CIF Scholar Athlete in 2017 and was a four-time Jockey Club Award winner … Also received the Owen Shaw Service Award … Also played volleyball and twice won a conference championship … Volleyball team finished in the top eight in the state.
