Competed in the 5000m at the Bulldog Relays, finishing 14th in 15:21.38 (3/26) ... Ran in the 5000m at the Crimson Tide Invitational, finishing in sixth place (4/10) ... Finished in first place with his first sub-15 minute time in the 5000m at 14:54.46 at the Maroon & White Invite (4/30).

Placed seventh in his first career 3000m steeplechase at the Al Schmidt Bulldog Relays (3/22), running 9:38.60 … Ran on the Bulldogs’ 4x1500m relay team that placed second at the Raleigh Relays (3/30) with the third-fastest time in school history at 15:47.53 … Also ran the open 1500m at Raleigh in a personal-best 3:55.63 … Clocked a personal-best 15:00.40 in the 5000m at the Crimson Tide Invitational (4/11) … Finished in 8:51.91 in the 3000m at the Southern Miss Open (4/27) … Crossed the line in the 3000m steeplechase in 9:40.82 at the SEC Championships (5/10) where he also ran the 5000m.

Made his MSU indoor debut at the UAB Vulcan Invitational (1/13) where he ran the 3000m in 9:05.72 … Ran the mile at the Music City Challenge (2/10) in 4:16.90.

2017 Cross Country Season

Competed in four events … Made his Bulldog debut at the Golden Eagle Duals (9/2) where he ran the 6K in 20:42.5 … Placed 15^th in the 8K at the Falcon Classic (9/16), finishing in 27:25.1 … Ran the Paul Short Gold 8K (9/29) in a personal-best 26:28.2 … Finished the Crimson Classic 8K (10/13) in 27:35.3.

Before the Bulldogs

Ran cross country and track for Starkville High School with Bulldog teammates Slater Richardson and Reese Dunne … Was third at the cross country state championships as a sophomore … Finished seventh in the 800m at the state championships as a junior and placed fourth in the 1600m … Finished second at the state championships in cross country as a senior, running 16:13.3 in the 5K … Won both the 1600m (4:24.89) and 3200m (9:41.35) state championships as a senior with personal bests in both distances … Won Starkville High’s Distinguished Senior Award … Also played soccer.
