Saw playing time immediately in the middle of the Bulldog lineup during the spring.
FALL?Played in four tournaments during his first fall season at MSU...Reached the quarterfinals of Flight A2 at the MTSU Blue Raider Invitational (Murfreesboro, TN) and the round of 16 in the A flight at the Georgia Tech Invitational (Atlanta, GA)...Partnered with Ryan Farlow to claim the Flight B consolation doubles championship at the Georgia Tech Invite...With fellow freshman Pjotrs Necajevs, defeated the nation’s 19th-ranked doubles team on the way to the round of 16 at the ITA Southeast Regional (Lexington, KY).
SPRING?Had victories over UAB, Arkansas and Vanderbilt in dual matches...Ranked 28th nationally entering the spring in doubles with Pjotrs Necajevs...Won 15 doubles matches during the year, including seven dual matches...Knocked off a ranked Tennessee opponent to help State claim the doubles point.
PRE-MSU:
Held a rank of fifth in under-18 in Russia as a prepster...Also had a ranking of 33rd in men’s open in Russia...Has also held an International Tennis Federation Ranking in juniors.
