Junior Season (2012-2013):
Became MSU’s second SEC Player of the Week after shooting a 7-under-par at the BancorpSouth Intercollegiate to give Boasson a runner-up finish…Compiled two Top Fives and eight Top-25 performances in his junior season... His stroke average of 72.00 ranks third all-time at MSU… Boasson’s 119 birdies led the team and ranked 16th in the nation.
Sophomore Season (2011-2012):
Fired a season-low 67 in the Sam Hall Intercollegiate...Finished in the Top 15 for the first time at MSU in the Bridgestone Golf Collegiate and his 3-over 147 was second among Bulldogs at the tourney... Appeared in four tournaments in 2011-12.
Freshman Season (2010-2011):
Posted a season-low round of 70 twice during his freshman campaign at the Seminole Intercollegiate and the SEC Championship ... Notched his season-best tournament score of 216 at the Seminole Intercollegiate with a 216 ... Appeared in seven tournaments and 21 rounds during his freshman campaign ... Claimed the team's third-best stroke average with a 74.1 and third-best tournament scoring average with a 222.3 ... Posted one of five Top 20 finishes by the Bulldog squad ... Finished atop the Bulldog leaderboard twice as a freshman.
Prior to MSU:
Was a competitor on the Icelandic Amateur tour where he ranked as high as third place... 2005 Icelandic champion in stroke play and 2008 first place finish in Icelandic Amateur match-play event... In 2008 was the number one junior ranked in Iceland ... Attended Fjolbreuitesslcoli Gardabaejas where his primary sport was soccer.
