Malcor Leads Bulldogs After Fallen Oak Collegiate Round One

SAUCIER, Miss. – Mississippi State completed round one of the Fallen Oak Collegiate Invitational in a tie for 13th at 6-over overall.

Ugo Malcor leads the Bulldogs after firing a round of 3-under 69, sitting in a tie for 7th. He carded a steady front nine of even par before getting hot on the final nine. Malcor carded three birdies with no bogeys, going out in 33 to complete his round. This is his sixth round of par or better this season.

Garrett Endicott rallied on the back nine to shoot an even-par 72. After starting 4-over through his first five, he played his final 13 holes in 4-under. He carded four birdies on his back nine to salvage his seventh par-or-better round this season.

Jackson Skinner carded three birdies in a 3-over round of 75. Dain Richie and Drew Wilson shot rounds of 78 and 79, respectively.

Ben Kelling played solid golf in his first collegiate round, finishing with a 1-over 73 that included a stretch of three-consecutive birdies. He sits tied for 42nd as an individual.

The Bulldogs begin round two off No. 10 with Drew Wilson at 10:40 a.m. CT. Live results are available on SCOREBOARD.
