CAREER: An all-purpose threat who plays the slot receiver position and can be counted on in the return game … One of the fastest players on the team who carries the nickname “Pocket Rocket” as issued by his former roommate and now Carolina Panther Fred Ross … Saw his first career action in 2016 after redshirting as a true freshman in 2015 … Battled a foot injury over the latter half of the 2017 season, missing five games … Did not participate in the 2018 spring, recovering from injury … Played running back in high school and moved to receiver when he arrived at MSU … Played in 21 games with seven starts and has three touchdowns to his credit.
2017 SOPHOMORE SEASON: Appeared in eight total games, earning starts in the first six contests of the 2017 season … Battled a foot injury over the last half of the season, missing action vs. Kentucky (10/21), vs. UMass (11/3), at Arkansas (11/18), vs. Ole Miss (11/23) and vs. Louisville (12/30) … Racked up 377 all-purpose yards and ranked second on the squad with 275 yards receiving and a touchdown off 18 receptions … Also saw time as a kick returner, collecting 89 yards on five attempts … In just his second career start, caught a 15-yard reception against Charleston Southern (9/2) … First special teams action of the season at Louisiana Tech (9/9) with three kick returns for 42 yards … Reeled in a career-high six receptions for a career-best 97 yards, including a 45-yard touchdown against No. 11 LSU (9/16) … Lone receptions against No. 13 Auburn (9/30) was a career long of 45 yards … Tallied a season-long kick return of 25 yards vs. BYU (10/14) while also reeling in five catches for 69 yards.
2016 REDSHIRT FRESHMAN SEASON: Saw playing time in all 13 games, earning his first start against LSU (9/17) … Finished with 611 all-purpose yards and ranked fourth on the team in receiving with 19 catches for 228 yards and two touchdowns … Second on the squad in kick return yardage, racking up 277 on 11 attempts and averaging 25.2 yards per return … Tallied 21 all-purposes yards with two catches and two rushes in his first career game against South Alabama (9/3) … Scored the first touchdown of his career on a 37-yard pass from Nick Fitzgerald against Auburn (10/8) … Put MSU on the board at BYU (10/14) with a 44-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter and finished with a season-high 69 yards receiving … Totaled a season-high 118 all-purpose yards at Kentucky (10/22), including a career-long 45-yard kickoff return … Rushed for 38 yards on five carries, both career highs, against Samford (10/29) … Caught a season-best five passes for 54 yards in upset of No. 4 Texas A&M (11/5).
