2018 FRESHMAN SEASON: Utilized a redshirt, but saw action in three games – vs. Stephen F. Austin (9/1), vs. Louisiana (9/15) and vs. Louisiana Tech (11/3), and did not record any statistics.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Wylie High School under head coach Hugh Sandifer … Was a two-way player … Finished with 281 yards and five touchdowns rushing on 43 carries, while catching 23 passes for 313 yards and seven more scores as a junior in 2016 … Also had 26 solo tackles, three interceptions and a forced fumble.
PERSONAL: Born Cason Coy Grant on March 15, 1999 … Son of Sid and Pamela Grant … Originally committed to MSU on July 24 … Has three siblings: Emily (a former pole vaulter at Texas A&M), Taylor (member of the MSU men’s golf team from 2014-18) and Sydney.
