CAREER: Walk on long snapper from Tupelo who spent three seasons with the program, including his senior year as the primary long snapper … Took over the starting snapper duties in 2018 following the NFL Draft departure of Hunter Bradley, who was the starting snapper from 2015-17 … Played in 15 career games ... Graduated from MSU in December 2018 with a degree in political science.
2018 SENIOR SEASON: Played in all 13 games as the primary long snapper ... Recovered a muffed punt vs. Auburn (10/6) on the Tigers’ 36-yard line to help set up a touchdown drive eight plays later late in the second quarter of the win.
2017 JUNIOR SEASON: Saw action against Charleston Southern (9/2).
2016 SOPHOMORE SEASON: Did not appear in any contests.
2015 FRESHMAN SEASON: Made his first career appearance in the Bulldogs’ 62-13 victory against Northwestern State (9/19).
HIGH SCHOOL: Was named 6A all-state first team during his junior and senior seasons … Lettered in his final three seasons of high school … Helped Tupelo to a North Half championship title and one state championship game appearance.
PERSONAL: Born Joel Baldwin on Feb. 11, 1996 … Parents are Morgan and Renee Baldwin … Has two siblings, Zac and Bonnie Catherine Baldwin.
