Prepped at Oak Grove High School under head coach Drew Causey … Three-star prospect by 247Sports, ESPN, On3 and Rivals … Rated as the state’s No. 10 safety by On3, the No. 13 safety by ESPN and the No. 16 cornerback by 247Sports … Helped Oak Grove to a 10-3 record and an appearance in the second round of the Class 6A playoffs … As a junior, totaled 78 tackles with four interceptions and seven passes defended, while adding four tackles for loss, three defensive touchdowns, two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble … As a receiver in 2021, he caught 47 passes for 726 receiving yards and nine touchdown catches … As a senior, caught 43 passes for 583 yards and seven touchdown receptions … Also had a 15-yard rushing touchdown in his final high school season … Defensively, posted 13 total tackles, five pass breakups and an interception.
