CAREER: Hard-nosed and experienced tight end with a great motor who can both catch and block … Spent five years with the program and was a leader on offense … Punishing blocker, especially on numerous touchdown runs … Because of his physical ability, also saw action on special teams … Played in 51 games with 34 starts … Made 52 receptions for 633 yards and two touchdowns … Represented MSU at SEC Media Days in 2019 … Graduate from MSU in December 2019 with a degree in human development and family sciences.
2019 SENIOR SEASON: Started all 13 games … Set career highs in receptions (21) and yards (257) and had one touchdown catch … Longest catch of the season was 47 yards … Had a catch in 12 different games and a 20-plus yard reception in three separate contests … 14 of 21 catches resulted in a first down … Hauled in three passes for 69 yards, including a 47-yard catch which was the team’s second-longest passing play of the season, at No. 7 Auburn (9/28) … In addition to a couple of punishing blocks on big plays, reeled in a 3-yard touchdown pass at Arkansas (11/2) for his second career score and first since the 2016 season.
